Telomere test

Is your body really healthy?

What is the "Mibyo (pre-disease)" state?

"Mibyo (pre-disease)" refers to the state that falls between a healthy condition and illness, but is advancing toward illness. If we can detect this state, we can reduce the probability of diseases developing by improvements in lifestyle, etc.
We are now in an age that allows us to cheerfully enjoy life in good health thanks to detection of the Mibyo (pre-disease) state, rather than having to spend large amounts of money and time on the treatment of diseases after their onset. It is important to invest in our own health before becoming ill.

Characteristics of Telomere test

MiRTeL's Telomere test is used to determine the Mibyo (pre-disease) state, answering questions such as "Am I susceptible (resistant) to diseases caused by aging?" and "Am I in a healthy state, or going to develop disease?" The purpose of the test is to prevent diseases associated with aging and related processes by planning improvements in lifestyle and diet that are adjusted to the individual's predispositions and situation based on the test results.
The telomere is a structure found at the end of a chromosome, which holds important genetic information that the chromosome contains. As an important structure that determines cellular aging, it is also involved in diseases that are associated with age. The Telomere test analyzes this "telomere" in order to measure the innate "strength of genes (telomere strength)" and "tiredness of genes (telomere fatigue level)" caused by day to day stress.

Characteristics of Telomere test

The telomere fatigue level is determined by measuring the "G-tail" at the end of telomere. "G-tail" shortening increases susceptibility to diseases. However, it is possible to increase G-tail length by improving the living environment, etc. Hence, if you undergo the Telomere test, your doctor will give you advice based on monitoring of "telomere fatigue level," so that you can maintain a condition that is resistant to illness and aim for a long healthy life through appropriate precautions and corrective measures. MiRTeL's Telomere test is the only test in the world*1 that allows measurement of G-tail length

What can we find out using the Telomere test?

  • Genetic age (telomere age) is calculated based on the length of telomeres (telomere strength). Hence, you can find out the effects on your telomeres of your lifestyle up till now.
  • You can find out whether your actual condition is closer to a "healthy state" or to "disease onset state" based on G-tail length (telomere fatigue level).

FAQ regarding "Telomere test"

How can I get a Telomere test?
You can have a Telomere test at health care facilities that have a contract with MiRTeL.
(Please see the list of contract health care facilities: URL(Japanese only))
How much does a Telomere test cost?
Please inquire at a nearby health care facility that has a contract with MiRTeL.
Can I have a Telomere test immediately after a meal?
Telomere test results are not affected by meals. However, it is recommended that you have the test at least 1 hour after a meal, since the blood samples from some patients may be prone to ready formation of chyle.
How long does it take to get the results?
The test results are available from the health care facility that you visited after about 1 month.
